How to control your cargo's temperature on the road
If you carry food, medicine or other sensitive cargo, a temperature change can mean a total loss. The problem is that, without measuring, you find out on arrival.
What you need
- Temperature probes inside the box or chamber, connected by cable or Bluetooth to the tracking device.
- Range alerts: an immediate notice if the temperature leaves the range you defined for that product.
- Door sensor: to know when and for how long the box was open.
- Live position: to act fast if something fails and to know where the vehicle is.
- History: a continuous record of the temperature throughout the trip.
What you gain
You stop depending on the driver's word. You can react in time, prove to your customer that the cargo travelled well and understand where the chain breaks: a cooling unit that fails, a door that opens too often, a stop that is too long.
How to start
Start with one route or one unit. Define the temperature range for your product, install the probes and watch the data for a few weeks. With that, decide whether to extend the system to the whole fleet.
